The SARS-CoV-2 Nucleic Acid Dual-Detection Kit (One-step qRT-PCR Method) is a research-use-only (RUO) assay designed for the quantitative detection of SARS-CoV-2, the virus responsible for COVID-19. Utilizing a one-step qRT-PCR approach, the kit targets conserved regions of the viral genome, specifically the N gene and ORF1ab gene, through TaqMan probe-based detection. RNA is extracted from a variety of human sample types such as nasal/throat swabs, sputum, respiratory tissue extracts, and more and then subjected to amplification. An internal control targeting the human ribonuclease P (RNP) gene is included to ensure sample integrity and avoid false negatives due to poor RNA extraction or handling. The kit includes all essential components such as RT-PCR mix, probe mix, enzyme mix, and both positive and negative controls, available in 25- and 50-reaction formats.
