(-)-Cedrene (α-cedrene) is a natural, orally active ligand of mouse olfactory receptor 23, which induces skeletal muscle hypertrophy in mice. (-)-Cedrene exhibits trypanocidal (Trypanosoma b. brucei) (IC50 = 4.07 μg/mL). (-)-Cedrene is antileukemic in vitro (IC50 = 22.2 μg/mL).
